The project by Mega Engineering Services (MES) during 2014-2015 was a significant milestone in Pakistan’s aviation sector. It involved the installation of underground jet fuel storage tanks (double-wall type) at Islamabad Airport for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Pakistan.

This was the first time in Pakistan that such advanced storage tanks, based on Xerxes USA technology, were manufactured and implemented. The tanks were designed with robust double-wall construction, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

This was the first time in Pakistan that such advanced storage tanks, based on Xerxes USA technology, were manufactured and implemented. The tanks were designed with robust double-wall construction, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

To ensure quality and adherence to international standards, the tanks underwent rigorous testing,

Including:

+6 psi pneumatic pressure test
-6 psi vacuum test
Both tests were successfully conducted by a third party at MES premises, demonstrating the reliability of the design and technology.

This project highlights the adoption of cutting-edge international technology in Pakistan, marking an advancement in aviation infrastructure.
