Answers to our most frequently asked questions
If you have any additional questions or concerns not addressed in our FAQs, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What is the difference between molded and pultruded FRP grating? What is the difference between molded and pultruded FRP grating?
Molded grating is a one-piece panel with bidirectional load bearing and high corrosion resistance, ideal for walkways, platforms and drain covers. Pultruded grating is assembled from I-bars for unidirectional, heavy-duty load bearing over longer spans.
Is FRP grating better than steel grating?
In corrosive and wet environments, FRP grating outperforms steel because it does not rust, is much lighter, is fire-retardant, has low electrical conductivity and needs little maintenance, giving a longer service life and lower life-cycle cost.
Is FRP grating fire retardant?
Yes. Mega Group fiberglass gratings have fire-retardant properties, and phenolic-resin grating offers the highest fire-protection rating, making it suitable for high-risk oil and gas applications.
How do I get a quote for FRP grating?
